DC operation in the field
■	The opticl fiber camera adapter PS-470HD and the optical fiber base station PS-570HD can be operated with the battery in the field under the low power consumption by 10W.

Remote control operation
■	Remote control of the camera is allowed by connecting the Sony RM-B750/B150 with the optical fiber base station.

	Real time displays for system status
	■	The monitor display function indicates the status of signals between the optical fiber camera adapter PS-470HD and the ptical fiber base station PS-570HD.

	VF interface unit
	■	Tally and return video signal can to be monitored with the view finder of a camcorder by using the optional VF interface unit.

Equipped with PROTECH Intercom
■	Incorporating the technology of PROTECH Intercom FD-300A, the headset connector is available with the volumes of a headphone and a microphone.

Powerful power supply
■	The optical fiber base station PS-570HD can supply the DC power to the optical fiber camera adapter PS-270HD/PS-470HD with a maximum 2000m distance.
■	Approximately up to 75W DC power is allowed to consume even under the parallel running with a liquid crystal view finder and a CamLight.

Long distance transmission with low signal loss
■	The distance between the optical fiber camera adapter and the optical fiber base station can be extended to a maximum 2,000m to carry the HD-SDI or SDI signal between the two units without the signal degradation.

	■	Can be docked with an ENG camcorder which has HD-SDI/SD-SDI output such as Sony HD camcorder.
	■	ENG operation even with the optical fiber camera adapter PS-470 can be allowed any time

One optical fiber cable operation
■	Via a single optical fiber cable, the optical fiber camera adaptor PS-270HD can transmit HD-SDI, or SDI signal, and intercom signal and can receive DC power for the camera, intercom, tally and return video signals from the Optical Adapter Base unit PS-570HD.

■	Can be attached to a small type camcorder which has HD-SDI/SD-SDI output such as Sony PMW-EX3.
■	Can monitor return video and tally signals with the optional camera view finder VF-43W.

	ENG operation even with the Optical Fiber Camera Adapter PS-470HD can be allowed any time
	■	Once a battery is plugged in the back of the optical fiber camera adapter PS-470HD and remove the optical fiber cable connector, the camera can be used again as the ENG camcorder.

HD-SDI/SDI multi-camera recording
■	Supports multi-camera recording for both HD-SDI and SD-SDI signal by using Sony XDCAM HD camcorder, etc.
■	The optical fiber base station PS-570HD is equipped with HD-SDI/SD-SDI output for further application.
