QUAD display of audio meter
The audio meter corresponds to the QUAD display. From 1 to 4 lines can be displayed. The meter of 16CH can be confirmed in the maximum.

Equipped with embedded audio monitor function / audio output is possible.
HD-SDI embedded audio can be monitored. It displays 16 channels with real time is 64 steps. As the embedded audio is monitored with real time, the phenomenon that the PEAK HOLD value is seen higher than an average doesn't occur.
1 / 2 channel audio can be output by Canon 3P. As the embedded audio can be separated, it shows power in the field shooting and recording.

Vector scope / gain-up observation is possible
Vector scope is displayed by UTIL button of the front panel. The choice of the semitransparent display and the opaque display is possible. Because it is possible to set from 1 time to 4.98 times minutely in the gain, the observation by gain-raising is possible..

Over exposure can be watched obviously
When the wave form is displayed, the setting range of over-exposure limit display can be minutely set from -7.3% to 109.1%. Therefore, it becomes the gauge of the over-exposure tendency, the under-exposure tendency with the cameraman. It shows enormous power for the exposure watch. The setting range of under-exposure limit display can be minutely set from -7.3% to 109.1% too. For the example, if over limit is set to 10%, over part and under part are displayed with red on the wave form at a same time.

It makes shooting comfortable and convenient.
PROTECH developed this HDF-700 with particular considaration for the essence of a view finder. Usability was pursued to the upmost from the viewpoint of the cameraman, and each function was necessitously embodied.

Monochrome display is possible.
It is possible to change the color and monochrome mode with single touch. When the eyes are tired by long time operation, it is possible to shoot with monochrome display same as the current view finder which is kind for eyes.

It is usable as Live View FInder of the single-lens reflex camera.
Recently, it is used as a view finder of the single-lens reflex camera (HDMI output) which is used for model shooting and CM shooting. The advanced work can be created using the clear-peaking function of HDF-700. (Optional HDMI input adaptor is necessary.)

Tally ON/OFF is possible
Big tally can be changed to 3-step Hi/Lo/OFF. It is equipped with two kinds of the input terminals of the Tally signal 5.5V voltage and the input terminals of which a terminal is lit up by connecting it.

The excellent operability. It is possible to operate in the dialog feeling.
The arrangement of the direct operation button in the front was designed based on the human engineering. ON/OFF of the zebra, marker display and peaking setting can be done comfortably during the shooting. It can be operated intuitively without the operation manual.

Red tally and green tally are equipped, corresponding to switcher system
Tally display is possible by connecting with optional HD switcher, VSE-500HD. VSE-500HD can display the camera which was chosen next by green Tally. It is corresponding to red Tally of other manufacture.

Vector scope function
Monitoring of chrominance signal with real time is possible. Semitransparent display / opaque display of vector scope / wave form can be set. It is possible to do observation of the white balance of a camera and the specificcolor like the flesh color. Memory of this function is possible with the function key on the front panel.

Alarm level can be displayed by zebra form
Zebra appearance level can be set by percent display optionally. It is possible to warn of the upper limit / lower limit level for brightness and chrominance with clip guide function. Also, user can set the limit level value. It displays an over exposure correctly. If the upper limit is set to 10IRE, the part which exceeded a set value and the part whic doesn't fill a set value are displayed by the red zebra.

Advanced zebras pattern setting
ON/OFF of zebre pattern is possile. In addition to current zebra pattern, followings can be set; LUMA(Y)/LUMA(Y)MONO/CHROMA(C)/CHROMA(C)MONO/ Y&C/Y&CMONO 2 kind of display, zebra display and FILL display are available. Y UPPER LIMIT is adjustable from -7.3% to 109.1%. Y LOWER LIMIT is adjustable from -7.3% to 109.1%. C UPPER LIMIT is adjustable from 0 to 255. C LOWER LIMIT is adjustable from 0 to 255.

The marker mat which improves visibility
Marker mat can be set to Clear, Half-tone, Black. It is possible to set liner thickness to 3 steps of Type 1 ( attenuate ), type 2 ( mid ), Type 3 ( thick ).

Saturation and sharpness are adjustable
Chromatic level can be adjusted by the saturation adjustment of video. Sharpness adjustment is possible too.

It is equipped with the blue only function which is essential for the monitor adjustmenr. Correct adjustment is possible. Blue only, red only and green only display are possible.

Equipped with HD-SDI input error display function
It is equipped with an erroe counter of HD-SDI. It can measure the number of times of the cable trouble when the system was assembled and the error caused by the trouble of the connected equipment. In addition to the continus ON/OFF display of the error count, the AUTO display, displaying only when an error is occured is possible.

The robust, thin and light-weight design
It was designed with high reliability considering a severe status to be used by professional operators in various conditions as well as the use in the room with good conditions. It uses aluminum die-casting for the body and a protection panel on the liquid crystal surface. The weight of main unit is approximately 1kg. Robustness, thin and light-weight are realized. For the camera installation, it is equipped with the camera tripod screw hole to the main unit base.

Brightness (over exposure / under exposure) can be displayed with real time.

Setting of the details of audio output
Following audio display is possible; Level meter ON/OFF Singl channel display Necessary channels from 1CH to 16CH				ON/OFF setting of meter back ground is possible. The choice of the semitransparent display and opaque display is possible.

Clear-peaking ON It is possible to adjust peaking level. It changes to confirmation mode with LCD by one touch of pushing the peaking button.				Equipped with Clear-peaking function Just focus without searching HD shooting is a fight to adjust a focus. Higher skill is needed for HD shooting than SD. Operator can adjust a focus without being irresolute about the subtler focus over the detail by the clear-peaking function, and searching focus work is not necessary. Aslo, focus confirmation at editing is possible after recording.
Clear-peaking OFF				It changes to black and white view finder by one touch of the front button.

DC 12V driven. Battery operation is possible.
DC 12V IN is equipped on the back of the main unit. It can be operated by the DC tap of the camera with the supplied cable. Battery operation is possible by the optional lithium-ion battery holder. Thanks to the low power consumption (12W), operation time by battery is long. It is sutable for the picture confirmation in outdoors.

AC adaptor is supplied for the use in various countries.

View Finder Function
BRIGHT/CONTRAST/PEAKING are adjustable. LED lights up by pushing the operation encoder on the front panel and optional adjustment by the camera operator is possible.
There are 2 modes, standard setting mode and optional setting mode. If the setting condition becomes unclear by the operation of immature cameraman, it can be returned to standard setting by one push operation (PAT.P). It is possble to confirm whether the video level is proper and the dfocus is fitted in the confirmation of the recorded video program. It is essential in the HD recording which needs the correct focus technology.

Built-in speaker
Small speaker is built-in. Confirmation of each channel and monitoring of mix of 1CH/2CH and mix of 3CH/4CH are possible.

Output setting of the back part terminal is possible.
Audio output of 1 - 16CH can be set to each Cannon XLR-3P AUDIO OUT 1/2. Audio monitor headphone/speaker and Cannon XLR3 output setting is not connected. Cannon output can be output to main line with confirmin the sound by the headphone (6.3Φ) or the speaker.

Keep a natural shooting style by the Swing Arm function.
Swing Arm is installed between the pan tilt head and the tripod base in stage shooting and studio shooting. HDF-700 installed on the Swing Arm can be moved to same direction of pan operation. In this Swing Arm system, operator can handle the lens directly. Operator can keep a natural shooting style.

VF tilt arm stay to suspend from the ceiling
VR tilt arm stay is supplied for the installation to the camera. It can be installed to a compact camera. It can be suspended from the ceileing in the studio.

Rack-mount operation for a studion and OB Van.
4U Rack-mount kit (option) is available for the installation to EIA 19-inch rack. 2 sets can be installed. Blank panel is packed for 1 set use.

Camera and return video can be changed by the return switch of zoom control
By connecting the optional zoom control to HDF-700, HD-SDI signal from a camera for recording and HD-SDI signal returned from a switcher can be coonfirmed alternately by the return button of the zoom remocon. (PAT.P)
By this function, if the camera has HD-SDI signal, it can be operated like a studio camera without choosing models.

Can be installed to most of cameras
It can be used as a view finder for the camera which has HD-SDI output or HD component output. The subtle focusing becomes possible regardless of the model of the camera. It is applicable to most of camera with the swing arm. HDMI can be connected by the optiona input adaptor.

It is possible to do detailed setting easily for the use from a high amateur to a professional creator of broadcast level. The person who is weak at the mechanic, too, can use by the simple operation. Even if the setting contents gets lost, it is possible to return to the standard setting in the time of shipment from factory immediately from the menu.

White balance adjustment in shooting is essential to express tone of color. To reproduce a correct color, HDF-700 is adjusted in the end process by high precision automatic control system in the time of shipment from the factory. it is designed for the color reproduction of each monitor to become uniform.
